UHSPA Background

Uganda Health and Science Press Association (UHSPA Uganda) was founded in 2006 as a network led by gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons and groups in Uganda. It was founded by activists and individual LGBTIs mainly from the media fraternity. The group started as Go-Gay Uganda, working to promote and highlight LGBTI health rights, mainly through the mass media.
